Tilt & turn wooden-aluminum windows
Tilt&turn window is basically a very comfortable, reliable and high performance product. It can be tilt only or inswing or both at the same time - tilt and turn. According to the customer's requirements these windows may be tilt&turn (first operation is tilting, also called TBT - tilt before turn) or turn&tilt (first operation is opening in). Functionality of this type of windows is proven by its popularity among customers all over the world in all countries and on all continents.
However, it is not an ordinary tilt&turn window, it is based on the wooden construction but on the outside it is covered with the special aluminum profiles called cladding. Aluminum is very resistant so such windows offer a perfect combination of wooden windows and low maintenance requirement.
Wooden profiles made of engineered laminated timber impregnated and sprayed with high quality water based paints gives the windows durability and stiffness. Aluminum cladding is powder coated in any colour you wish. Additionally, it is possible to cover the cladding with special woodgrain foils. For even more demanding customers we offer aluminum cladding which is welded in the corners so that it looks like one aesthetic solid frame without the mitre joints in the corners.
Only the highest quality glazing is used to protect you from the heat loss and the noise form the outside of the building. On request 2 or even 3 gaskets may be used to achieve even better thermal and acoustic insulation. Aluminum drip rail on the bottom of sash and the thermally broken drip rail on the bottom of the frame protects the windows from the bad weather conditions and the highest quality hardware allows for smooth and easy operation for many years.
NordicAluTimber tilt&turn windows offer so called microventilation. It is a possibility to make a very small gap between the sash and the frame thanks to the hardware used. You can use this function by simply turning the handle to the right position. Moreover, this ventilation may be adjustable according to the time of the year. You can have bigger gap in summer and smaller in winter and constantly provide the flow of fresh air into your house. It is also possible to fit the trickle ventilation in the frame or in the sashes.
Another interesting option are concealed hinges which you cannot see once the window is closed. Thanks to this you can avoid using visible hinges in the corners of the sashes covered with plastic cups.

TYPE 1 (DUN114)
Outward opening top hung window where the sash is flush with the frame offers a unique and elegant look. All the frames are very slim which gives the impression that the window is bigger than it actually is offering at the same time very interesting aesthetic aspect. The hinges used might be traditional exposed butt hinges (brass, stainless steel or powder coated with any colour) or concealed friction hinges fitted on top on the left and right side of the sash. Additionally the double keep used allows for so called night ventilation so that you can leave a small gap for ventilation and lock the window in that position. To suit customers' requirement even better this type of windows is offered in two shapes of the frame and sash on the inside: square - modern and decorative - traditional. The biggest advantage of reversible windows is the possibility to clean both sides of the window sash without going out of the building.

TYP II (NOR93)
Scandinavian reversible top swing or side swing window is again the type where the sash is flush with the frame. However, this type is common mainly in Scandinavia. These windows are available up to 2,4m wide and 2m high. It is possible to use opening restrictors to block opening the window in full especially by children or in case the window is installed rather low in the wall. The hinges are available in all RAL colours. Aluminum cladding is available in all RAL colours, anodized or even with woodgrain foils and many custom finishes.
TYPE III (PIVOT68)
Reversible pivoting top swing or side swing window is a very similar system to tilt&turn and offers a very good match. As opposed to other reversible windows this one does not reverse on the outside of the building but reverses partially on the inside and partially on the outside. Thanks to this it might be up to 3m wide and 2,3m high. This window can be opened just a little for air ventilation or can be left half open. Apart from standard rectangular shapes this type can be oval or round. Aluminum cladding is available in all RAL colours, anodized or even with woodgrain foils and many custom finishes.
